As we approach the end of the year, we will once again reflect on our memories before embarking on a new year, a fresh beginning. As the Pandemic progresses, we have concluded that commemorative occasions such as Valentine's Day, holidays, and Christmas will not be as enjoyable as we are accustomed to. All activities must be canceled at the very least in order to keep us safe from the pandemic. Within the previous years, sense of warmth interwoven with vibrant neighborhood and wonderful dishes offered on Christmas Eve; but, with the ongoing outcry of the COVID, it will become more difficult to execute a fine entity of surprising event during Christmas this year. Because of the COVID, we are now unable to achieve a more dynamic and natural Christmas days just like before. Carolers, Daily Christmas events, children’s playing we’re always to be seen roaming around our barangay, the impact of the pandemic changed our setting drastically; It made our barangay gloomy and full of sadness. Letting the Pandemic be the reason of us holding back a celebration that’s happens only once in a year is not valid, we must take consideration of our cultural events and should still celebrate even if it’s just a simple feast.
As a conclusion, in this era of pandemic, we must weigh our do's and don'ts and take our every actions into consideration. Even if the mood is dismal, don't allow grief take over Christmas; instead, find a method to interact and memorialize with relatives without breaking the protocols. Even after the most heartbreaking and gloomy days, there is always a room for happy moments. Therefore appreciate and embrace the gift given to us. That being stated, Christmas may not be as joyous as in previous years, but against the shackles of the Pandemic, we strive for a Merry Christmas.
