Flickering Lights in
Flight: Vigan City, Umay Kayon Agrambak!
In
the upcoming activities of Vigan City during Christmas season, a lot of arcos
and decoration have scattered around Vigan. Various activities will be taken
but with extra pre-caution to enjoy the season without getting infected by the
ongoing outcry of the Pandemic. Regardless of the impact of the pandemic, the
mood of warm Christmas coats the city of Vigan featuring the colorful and
vibrant designs scattered around its heritage and its Municipality.
The Celebration of Artes Ita Paskua was successfully executed without the harm of mass producing the spread of the ongoing virus. With the help of Protocol Officers, they have come up with a way to deal within such situation by promoting a competition by the usage of own barangay or home-based. Personally, I love the idea on how efficient it is to prevent mass gatherings in one place allowing the virus to spread rapidly. The judgement and awarding of winners was individually visited by the judges from each barangay’s. It is a bit inconvenient but seeing as how thee pandemic grows, It can help us minimize gatherings in one spot. In Addition, a lot children’s creativity we’re tested with the use of Christmas Card Making that took place by giving them sufficient materials to work with. Many more activities we’re also made including essay writings and street painting.
Many joyous remarks we’re made and many people enjoyed the shows. Alongside the
colorful lights that surrounded the whole stage of Vigan City, the infamous Dancing fountain also made its wonderful performance with its drone showdown during the celebration of Chinese New Year. And the skies engulfed by loud but colorful fireworks and as my saying “The flickers of Lights, as engulfs above; shine down to cast upon Shadows”
As
more Christmas will come, the city of Vigan will be looking forward to more
activities and lore in the future. The Christmas event this year has come to
its settlement and full-filled the heart of tourists and those who reside in
Vigan City. As The light flickers; Vigan City, Umay Kayon Agrambak!
